now needs a neck fan. These are great and I have one thanks to Elaine!
Now onto some music and fun:
I've been thinking about this song lately and here is some information and
a little story to share.
I'd like you to meet Yehudit Tamir.
This lady has some great songs. Some we listen to and some we dance
to. The song I'm featuring today is called אנחת האדמה (Enchat Ha'adama)
which translates to the sigh of the earth. There is a really great
dance(click link to see the dance) to it by my friend Shmulik
Gov-Ari in 1994. He created the dance at the right
time.
You all probably don't know what else happened in 1994 but I surely
remember.
In 1994 the Northridge Earthquake hit Simi Valley and Brandeis Bardin
Institute pretty hard. They had to demolition the main house and other parts
of their campus that year. One thing I remember about the Northridge quake
was that I was returning from an Israeli Dance Cruise into San Pedro,
CA. Lucky I wasn't in my bedroom in Palos Verdes, or I might have been
hurt from un-anchored hutches that were on top of the dressers. (That was my
lucky break!) Enjoy the song. I've included two versions due to quality
issues etc. Also the playlist of the album is below. Please post in the
comments what you think about this song.
Moshe Peretz has been busy making music with Moki. "Wake up in the morning to
this new song "Modeh Ani". This is a prayer Beginning the Day with
Gratitude.
